Claire Patti

Claire Patti is a versatile and passionate musician who has carved herself a career as a choral director, performer, arranger and educator. She directed the Women’s Chorus for the 2018 Melbourne International Singers Festival, and You’re the Voice; a project about speaking up against family violence, featuring choirs from around Victoria. She has toured far and wide with multi-award winning Celtic vocal ensemble Co-cheòl, of whom she is the musical director. Linking in with her passion for Celtic music, she is co-director the Mornington Peninsula Welsh Ladies choir. Claire was a long time member of the prolific Australian choir The Australian Voices, and now freelances as a singer with Melbourne choirs The Consort of Melbourne and Polyphonic Voices. Her musical ventures extend to jazz, soul and popular music, and her latest project, jazz vocal quartet The Velvetones is causing quite a stir on the Australian a cappella scene. Claire believes that there are fewer greater joys than singing in a choir, and wants everyone to experience the endorphins and friendship that singing with others can bring. She is delighted to be conducting the Women’s Chorus for the Festival of 1000 Voices 2019!

The Festival of 1000 Voices is an opportunity for joyful Australian Choirs to come together, learn and sing in an environment which celebrates great music and choral excellence.
